Allotment action

It was an early trip up to the allotment for me, with DH confined to quarters writing up his report. I dug and clipped and sowed and watered (it has been very dry) for almost three hours, although it didn't look much better when I'd finished. I took a couple of shots of the work in progress to show Dave, but thought on the whole that the ladybirds were more entertaining. (Just think how many aphids their babies are going to chomp.)

I finally coincided with the legendary Man, Mountain or Fish, who has been tending an allotment plot only a hundred yards away from ours for the past five years. Strange how someone you've chatted to in the uber-cool surroundings of Inspace is almost unrecognisable when dressed for horticultural activity (I include myself in this!). I must say, he's done a great job in overcoming that privet hedge.
