Japenese quince

There are lots of things coming into bloom in the garden and this quince seems to be flowering earlier than usual and more profusely than I remember.

I went for a closer look this morning and a large bee was busy collecting pollen. As ever he settled on the less accessible flowers and my attempts to blip him failed so I contented myself with a picture of what was attracting him.
