Wellington II
Last day in Wellington so we wandered along the waterfront into the city to have breakfast. OMG, it took us about 2 hours - the water front was alive. We'd stumbled into a "waterfront open day" with ship, helicopter, rescue services, in fact you name it, open to view! Added to this was the fact that Queen Victoria was visiting on her maiden voyage.
After being here for 4 days I'd have to say this is a great city - the most vibrant in NZ and an absolutely stunning public waterfront area. Add to this the cafes etc and it's brilliant. Maybe not to live, but certainly to visit.
Anyway, back to Christchurch and reality. Here are several views of Wellington and the South/North Islands on the way back.
Blame my post today on my obsession with the sky and shapes again ;-)
Just back blipped 4 days.
