Wildboar woodwork

Seem to have a mad run on project openings at the moment. At times they can be very formal with stuffed suits and posturing politicians other can be informal warm, meaningful and heart felt. Today was the latter. Been to the opening of a small rural community play area and openspace . Probably been the 1st project opening where the play area was blessed twice by the local clergy, the methodists and then C of E. Great tea and cakes afterwards. This wildboar carving was at the base of a small totem pole carved by a local self taught artist Geoff Wheatley.

Getting up at stupid o'clock 2;45 am Thurs to take No 1 son into town for a coach to catch a plane to Switzerland for a Geog field trip. Still it's only like getting up when he was a baby to feed him and change him. He can just about get his own drinks and wipe his own arse now!
