Tears for Fears
Had to pick up B in the early hours of the morning. She was out drinking (too much) at a work colleague's (M) leaving do. What's worse for a fella than a group of drunk ladies having a ball, a loud ball.
A sub plot that amazed me is that one of them has trouble buying alcohol and gets ID'd...still!....at more than double the required age. :D - Yup...she looks good!
Anyway, M moved on to a private hospital, ostensibly to pastures greener and better and more prosperous and more family time. She was at the clinic when B first joined and has been her close friend and confidente ever since.
Poor M. - Second thoughts. Leaving her comfort zone. Leaving her friends.
Maybe worse...nurses are a special breed. Nobody gets into nursing for the money, so the decision made and, having already done some shifts, my guess is conscience has kicked in on top of the overriding feeling of having made the wrong one. She was upset, in tears, damage done. They all comfort her that they are still around and can still meet up. Yes, they had a good time, but I'm not sure it was consolation enough.
This blip is for her. xx
