First Roses

What a surprise to arrive home after 4 days away and find the rose bush flowering in front of the house! Looking around the back garden, the amount of colour has tripled. And all this has happened without me giving the garden any attention - there has just been a lot of sunshine.

I love it that God can work in nature and in people's lives without me doing anything. However just as that rose tree had to be pruned in the autumn and the garden tidied in the last month, God often does ask us to pray and act sometimes, amazingly choosing to make use of us.
