Cowslips

At the moment every morning there is the anticipation of seeing how far on the wildflower meadow outside our office is coming along. At the moment it is covered in over 300 cowslips with still more to come. The meadow was planted in 2004 when the office was built and the original stock of cowslips was just three plants. The meadow has a variety of flowers that give colour from now until Autumn. Over the years a work colleague Simon and me have been adding seeds to increase the biodiversity so much so that we have created a potential local Biological Heritage Site. Simon is the main man for looking after it but the main activity is scything it in August and making a very small haystack.
