Big cathedral in a small pond
Ely Cathedral dwarfs the city (only calling it that on a technicality) to a humorous degree, but it looks great against the big fenland sky when there is not a cloud in sight.
Had a nice couple of hours armed with music and a book in the sun on Cherry Hill, down the side of the cathedral. The notorious fenland wind was manageable at ground level but is always present.
This activity will be repeated tomorrow.
