Wild Poinsettia
This wild poinsettia, Euphorbia cyathophora, sometimes called painted spurge. It is similar to Euphorbia heterophylla but I believe this is the former.
It grows as a weed here in Queensland where I have seen it at several locations, but always beside the sea in sandy soil. This specimen is wet - very wet. We have had 3 inches of rain in the last two days so I have spent more time sheltering than taking photographs. At one point I was sheltering under a tree from a squall while just along the beach, a couple were bravely ignoring the weather as they were married al-fresco. Only their seated guests had the benefit of umbrellas.
