Time for a clean out
Home at last. It was a marathon flight back from the UK which included a 16 hour stint from Dubai to Brisbane. I didn't even know planes could fly that far without refuelling! I slept quite a lot of the flight thank goodness.
So we are home and the holiday is nearly over. Back to work Monday. I wanted to hit the ground running so I have decided to get straight into laying the groundwork for building the second level in my garage. That is going to mean a massive cleanup and turf out of stuff that has been stored there for a long time. Everything must go so that I have space to work. We will probably have a massive garage sale in the next few weeks. What doesn't sell will go to the tip. I am sick of having a pile of junk in my garage.
My plan is to make a small metal workshop in one corner and a small photographic studio somewhere near the middle. Hopefully it is doable. The metal workshop will need to be big enough to hold a metal lathe (yet to be purchased) and I am thinking about removable partitions so that it can be extended into the photo studio on bigger projects.
I can't explain how happy I am to be home! Yes, I love going on holidays, yes I love seeing my family but there is no place like home!
