holding down the boat

this week we've made out way to the southern part of the ecuadorian coast for a week of more hands on, out in the field, training. so today we found ourselves boating through mangroves to arrive at a shrimp farm. we awaited the ok to get off the boat (as to avoid being attacked by the many large dogs shrimp farmers tend to keep for protection), andrew hoped the rickety dock didnt give out under him!

note: all went well. the dock did not break. we did not get attacked by dogs. we learned a lot about shrimp farms, and got a little sad at how many mangroves are deforested to farm shrimp.
