What do we do now?

Oh my how sad, here they are the little chicks barely 5 weeks old and mum has left them to fend for themselves.

I let all the chooks out to roam around the farm at about 12.30 and I couldnt believe to see mum stomp out alone, not a cluck cluck to be heard from her calling her little ones.

They came to the opening (they have been out in the garden with their mum before) and obviously decided it was a bit too much to venture out today.

Hopefully when she returns later on at tea time, she will remember a couple of clucks just to reassure them.

It does seem very early to leave them, but she must know, mustnt she??

Another beautiful day today, so outside I shall go again.
