2nd Annual PacNW Blipmeeet

I arrived excited and I left feeling inspired.

Today we met at the Tulip Festival. My 2nd time officially (the 1st time my family and I were rained out before we even got out to the fields). What a gorgeous spot. Acres upon acres of multicolored tulips. Evenly spaced rows. A very impressive sight. And basically almost every photographer's dream.

I went in with a goal in mind. As stated in yesterday's blip, I want to explore portrait landscape. I want to continue my quest of photographing a story. A subject settled into a full frame of landscape. And of my 285 photos today, this is the one that speaks to me the most. The one of many that has a story to tell. Thank you 'My Everyday' for going along with my vision. Your presence in this photograph adds a richness and of course, a smile.

As for the other 284 photos. Here's a little highlight list:

1) A Blipper group photo.
2) Photos of Blippers deep in mud going for that perfect shot.
3) 'My Everyday' spritzing a tulip with the spray bottle that she packed in.
4) 'Party of 5' practicing with my nifty fifty. Shooting totally manually now.
5) 'Pddesigns' setting up her tripod (cute pic but I promised she wouldn't be blipped)
6) Muddy knees
7) Using a mirror to photograph the underside of the tulips and capturing the sky.
8) The walking potato (we think that is what it was)
9) An impromptu maternity shoot staring 'My Everyday'
10) Endless photos of the gorgeous and vibrant tulips.

We had an incredible day. Met some new blippers. Gathered back together for a lunch conversation full of photography talk; ex. photography businesses, local networking, workshop ideas, etc. Again, very inspiring. And delightful to spend a day with people who share the same deep passion for the art of photography. Today I am even more motivated to work even harder towards reaching goals and fulfilling my photography dreams. Thank you 'Pddesigns' for organizing everything today. You are just such a great gal and thanks for giving each of us one of your customized photo greeting cards.

The 2nd Annual PacNW Blipmeet......a success. Can't wait for next year's gathering as there were many blippers who were unable to attend today.
