Lovely day again so wandered along Leather Lane market at lunch time and blipped this is hat stand stall. In the winter, it sells gloves and those colourful woolly hats from Nepal and now 'tis in season for being a purveyor of fine summer hats and trilbys.

My Dad always used to quip 'If you want to get ahead, get a hat' if anyone wore a hat or even mentioned a hat in our house. I have just discovered it was an advertising slogan in the 1940s by Dunn & Co, hatmakers. Now I know.
