it's not as springy as we think

it was cold again today - sunny but cold. Took some persuading to get the children to wear warm clothes. They think it's summer but it's just freaky April. I had to scrape ice off the car again today...before I took it to the garage....before I got given a yellow THING to drive (surely it can't be a car?!)....before garage man phoned to say how much mending my subi would cost....still cheaper than a new car though. The children are a bit p'ed off because they're fed up with squeezing into the back...I spect I'll have to stop feeding them so they stop growing. But we have so many eggs (double-barrelled chickens?) that we have to eat endless eggy things, like cake and, tonight for the first time in years: cheese soufflé. yikes. They're not going to shrink like that are they?

oh and we like this today (and other days too)
