Sandy Beach

The beach at Spieka, it is completely Man Made. Under the sand are the original mudflats, but to make it more attractive to holidaymakers the Council brings 20,000 tons of sand here and spreads it out to make a sandy beach. The bushes are to prevent it blowing away. It was chilly today and windy so there were no takers for the beach chairs.
