Polar Bears in Rotterdam

My mom and I went to the Rotterdam zoo today. I got the chance this day to see and photograph many of the animals (birds for the most part:) I encountered in the wild, but only from afar, in Asia up close. But as this photojournal is about the Netherlands I decided to blip none of them. In December 2010 a baby Polar Bear was born here. The backdrop to his and his mothers enclosure however provided a very fitting photo opportunity.
