Peer pressure is a terrible thing.

So we knew that by banning smoking indoors, they would all head outside and continue. That's a good start, for sure. However, did anyone consider what the next logical step was?

Who else has to hang around outside of pubs/cafes/bistros/bars/delis? The canine population (non-guide related ones anyway), that's who. And who does this canine population look up to, who sets the example to them, who takes them for walks, who feeds them, who picks up their p... Enough, I'm sure you all get the idea by now. They look up to us. So, to get back to the hanging around outside of pubs etc point, we leave these poor canines with only those smokers as examples, and what happens?

This shot is, I believe, irrefutable evidence of what happens. Poor dogs, they don't know any better. Maybe we should commission a blue sticks style campaign targeting puppies, getting to them before they are left outside pubs with only the smokers to look up to...

p.s. I wonder where Scottish dogs come in EU dog health stats? Better or worse (by comparison) than us lot?
