Enveloped

My walk to the bus station takes me alongside a tree lined road....not good for the hayfever when all the blossom starts to show.
I think this is hawthorn but every year, the leaves get enveloped in a very fine cobwebby substance then they wither and die. It has no effect on the tree itself as there is always new growth the following spring
