Former Watermill, Burnhervie, Aberdeenshire

These remains lie on a small burn a few metres before it flows into the River Don just upstream of Burn Hervie.

An illustrated online walk passes just by here. Scroll about two thirds of the way down, and you come to a photo of the mill stream running into the Don, headed with the curious caption, "Do you think there was once a Mill or something here?"

Well, obviously, yes. Turn around 180 degrees from that photo, follow the burn up a few metres into the woods and you will discover the scene I have illustrated here.

Does anyone out there have any more information about this old mill?
