Awesome
Sausage and bacon butties for breakfast.
3 hours at Crystal Palace park, watching the skateboarders, the remote control car racing, climbing, eating ice cream and watching James, Corin and Chris being big kids. Clearly Faye and I were VERY sensible!
Then off to a friend's for tea and cake and meeting some of her friends and family - her 'big' birthday tomorrow. Once she managed to unwrap her canvas, I think she actually liked it - I am pleased :-)
Back to base, home made curry from bruv. Sorted through the photos. Glass of wine. Connecting to the internet using my phone as a wi-fi hotspot (lifesaver - what would I do without blip for an evening?).
I gave the gent in the picture one of my blip cards - if you are reading this, I will be uploading the other photos shortly - if you check back and follow the link, you'll be able to see them. The boarders were amazing - so focussed, really fast, so unbelievably controlled. They were just stunning to watch - could have sat there all afternoon. The best bit - they were so friendly and completely unphased by me and bruv harassing them with the camera. For that I am very grateful because I got some great shots too.
The photos are here
It's been a lovely day of fun and frolics - I am knackered now, but grateful for having wonderful family and friends. The perfect start to the school holiday and a great end to it for James.
