Heron

This afternoon I had a quick trip to Watermead hoping to find ducklings, goslings or other baby birds to photograph. No such luck, but I did stumble across this heron instead.

He was about 6m away from me with his eyes fixed firmly on the water and was not disturbed by have a camera pointed at him. He was stood in the worst possible place though, he was right next to a carrier bag, there was a yellow dinghy in the background and I was shooting towards the sun.
