Mini Holiday (Mini Vacanza)

2 hours at 110km/hour from Turin is the Valley of Aosta - the Alps.

There are many pretty villages and small towns in the valley, built mainly in medieval and Roman times. Along the motorway entering the area, we must have seen at least 10 small castles.

We stayed at this little town called Courmayeur, at the foot of the Monte Bianco (Mont Blanc in French). It's a massive winter sports area and you can just imagine skiers and snowboarders packing the place in the high season.

AC Milan, the football team that Roberto supports, was playing an important match so we watched it in a sports bar (my idea). Of course he gave me the history behind the players during the game and everyone is the greatest at something for the past decade.

There were lots of board games at the bed and breakfast we stayed at. One in particular that excited us both was Hotel. It's like Monopoly but instead of houses, they were different styles of hotels in 3D. They look so 90's it's shocking. Sadly, the paper money was missing so we couldn't play. We're bidding one on eBay now.
