Marathon

I got up extra early today so I could make it to the earlier yoga class which started at 9am.

Lots of the local roads were already closed by then & I saw lots of pre-runners walking towards their starting positions on my way to the Arches.

After yoga I popped my head out before going for a swim & was greeted with swarms of runners & a live band playing. Everyone was cheering them on & those treading the tarmac were in great spirits. Watching their determination & looking at all the charities they were supporting was incredibly emotional.

A fantastic race in a fantastic city! I love where I live :o)
