Meet the Morgans

Amelie woke up quite early this morning, 6.15. Chris had planned on getting up with her at 7 so he could watch the F1 anyway so he got up with her and left me to have a long lie. Whilst changing her nappy however, he noticed she was covered in a rash and I then got up so we could both muse over the cause of it. I figured it either had to be the antibiotics or the cream that I had put on her the night before (Body Shop Baby Buriti Butter) and after much deliberation I decided it had been the cream (it wasn't on her face, back or where her nappy was; where I hadn't put the cream). So no more lovely cream... In fact, she has had the rash like spots randomly on her since her birthday when we decided she needed some cream on her knees from all the walking on them that she was doing. I didn't realise that Chris had been putting it on every night after her bath and so I put it all over her last night. I had wondered what the little spots were...and now I know! The rash didn't seem to be itchy or bother her but I just let her walk about in her nappy all morning to let the air at it. She had a shower with me too.

Today Amelie learnt how to get up from sitting on the floor to standing without holding on to anything! I am a very proud mummy! This means she has been doing a lot more walking becuase one of us doesn't need to be there to pick her up when she walks to fast and falls over. Yay!

We were doing a lot of tidying and sorting in the flat today but went out for a walk this afternoon and ended up at the park, which was quite busy. Amelie was in the swing for ages and enjoyed walking from thing to thing, even if she didn't go on everything. She LOVES the slide!
