hanmer springs

After the cricket yesterday we needed some R&R and somewhere warm! The winds at the AMI stadium were pretty brisk and pretty chilly. So it was off to Hnamer on the way home today for a laze in the hot spring pools. I was soooooo looking forward to 20 lengths of the heated lap pool ( a rarity in NZ!!! ) and then half an hour in the warm/hot sulphur pools. Yet again stymied by Area school swimming contest, lap pool closed to public and bloody kids everywhere.
