A Cat Blip
Those that know me, will be shocked that I blipped a cat. A cat. I am allergic to cats and grew up taking allergy shots to lower my symptoms every time I was around them. Needless to say, I've not always been a fan of cats.
But.....but now our daughter wants one! And I promise you this, if I wasn't allergic to these cute little kittens, we would own one right now. The other night she said to me, "Mommy, I wanna kitty cat". That next morning we would have driven to the humane society. If only I wasn't allergic.
Yesterday was a busy one. We started the morning with an early breakfast. An early breakfast for five kids. Our kids had their cousin and two friends over for a slumber party. Oh wait, "Sleep Over". "Slumber Party" was the term when I was young. The kids had a ball together. And it was actually pretty easy and low key. Five kids entertain one another very well. We had magic tricks going on (which I video'd) and legos and forts and bikes. It was such a good experience for all of them.
After the morning activities, we went to church and our son's little buddy wanted to come with us. His bigger brother was singing at their church that morning but he got to come with us and our son was so excited about that. And when he took him back home afterwards, all of the kids played kick ball in the street with the Daddy's. The sun was out for the first time in weeks. The bright light felt wonderful.
We ran home for a quick lunch and then drove out to our friend's house for a visit. He just had neck surgery that came pretty out of the blue for him. And this is where we met the cat. Everyone knows I love to photograph eyes. So when I saw this cat, my vision was formed. A bright eyed cat blip. Perfect! I also took some cute pics of our friend's daughter holding her cat. She loved it so I'm going to print out a copy and frame it for her. Her Mom is having surgery in three days so we will be out again shortly for another visit. I'm excited to give her the photos as she ADORES this little kitty cat.
By the time we got home, we were beat. We had been going and going and going all weekend. Needless to say, it was an early evening for everyone. So here's my cat blip. It's not a hairless cat (which is actually my dream pet). Just a really cute little kitten who makes her family smile. Hope everyone had a great weekend.
Oh and ps. I have to mention this because it is a tiny little memory that I want to record. In church today, there was a quartet of girls singing in the row behind us. Singing in perfect harmony to the band playing up front. I leaned over to my husband and said, "It's church.....but in surround sound". And he gave me the biggest smile that almost threw me into a fit of laughter. So of course, I had to turn around and compliment the singers who made the songs even that much brighter this morning.
