Jump!

Sunday I spent the morning at the 2011 eventing derby at Lamplight Equestrian Center. One of my photog friends was the event photographer. She graciously invited a few of us to tag along.

I've been dying to go to one of these horse shows and shoot. Horses are such beautiful animals. They have such amazing muscle and structure...they are a work of art if they are well cared for. So, this was my first horse show shoot.

The temperature was barely above freezing. It was windy and heavily over cast most of the day. Needless to say my old camera and slow lens was not having a good day. I shot over 1000 images and deleted 700 on the first pass. Now I'm going through the rest slowly looking for anything worth saving. Its not pretty.

But as usual I had a blast! And then I went home and crawled into bed to warm up for a few hours. I was seriously cold. :)
