Front Porch Jewelry

Our southern Californian front porch here at "Funville" is currently decorated with bright red geraniums. I always back my car into the garage, so when I drive out each morning I roll passed the washer, dryer, and Mr. Fun's toolbox; then onto the driveway and into the weather and daylight and during this season an immediate view of the geraniums and the Chinese elm tree at the front porch.

When I was backing the car into the garage this afternoon after returning from the campus, the geraniums caught my attention. I've told Mr. Fun he ought to fill that entire planter with more of those beautiful geraniums.

Our friend George, who is dying of cancer, was moved yesterday from Riverside County Regional Medical Center to a place much closer to our community. We haven't been to the new place, but we will soon and when we do, I'll give an update. I think I am in a terrible funk because of all that is happening with George.

I have student essays to grade and prepping for tomorrow. So I better get.
