Shall I or shan't I?!

Phew what a hot day it was today and for me a VERY busy one.

It didn't start off too well as I woke mum up at 5am with a bit of a poorly tummy again :-( I was deperate to get out to the loo. So then mum decided she wouldn't go back to bed and put the little settee bed up downstairs so she could be with me in case I felt poorly again. I was fine, really fine, especially as mum let me snuggle with her on the settee bed! I slept and slept and slept for hours. I didn't even realise it was breakfast time. I was loving being snuggled with mum but she said that she had a dead arm and was dying for a wee! I was sleeping so soundly she didn't like to wake me. Some people would say she was mad, that I'm only a doggie but my mum says I am the whole world to her :-)

I am really ok, my tummy was fine again after that. I'm not sure what it was. When I finally did get up we had a lovely walk along the canal down to a pub on the estuary. I was allowed off the lead the WHOLE way there because I was being so well behaved! The best thing was that every now and again there was a break in the reeds and I could get in the canal and SWIM! Hee Hee! I was searching and searching for a stick but in the end I could only find some reeds that I pulled out and took back to mum and daddy. Every single gap I HAD to get in for a quick swim. Sometimes it was only for a few seconds but it was REALLY lovely and cool. Then mum and daddy sat right at the end on the estuary and had some lunch (AGAIN!) and I sat and watched this swan, he kept going backwards and forwards just looking at me. I think he was trying to tell me something, either to come and play or stay away, I couldn't figure out which and mum wouldn't let me go and find out!

Then this afternoon we went to the BEACH again. Hee hee! The exact same place as yesterday. We went with mums friends and their little girl who is 3. I LOVE little girls. They are just at the right height for me and always run about screaming or laughing. Mum and daddy said they were really proud of me because I didn't jump up or do ANYTHING naughty at all! Well maybe one tiny thing. Daddy threw the ball in the sea and when I ran out I ran all the way up the beach with it to a group of people sitting down. I wanted to share it with them so I jumped right in the middle of them and I hadn't even had time to shake the water off yet. I made them all wet. Mum was running after me but I kept skipping her! Luckily she said the people were really nice about it. She had a really red face and kept saying I'm so sorry, shes just a puppy! Im not JUST a puppy mum, I'm Lily the famous photographed puppy :-)!

Mum and I walked into the town to get some things for a BBQ tonight and I found I love something new to eat.........CHEWING GUM! I picked up a piece from the pavement and it had a long stringy bit that stuck the the pavement while I tried to walk off with the other end. Hee hee it was very funny. Mum wasn't too impressed though?!

We had a BBQ at mum and Daddys friends house. I got to play in the garden LOADS and I followed little H EVERYWHERE. When she got her tea set out to make cups of tea I helped myself to a little plastic cup and plate, when she got her big pink cuddly horsey out I jumped on it too. She had sooooo many toys. It was very tempting not to steal them and run off with them. I did have a good old chew on a plastic carrot :-)

Then we went inside and I followed little H everywhere again. Everywhere she went, I went, wagging my tail after her. She sat and read me a story from book that made farmyard noises. I was fascinated at the noises. I kept cocking my head on the side to hear them better and try and figure out what they were. Mum said she wished she had the camera then!

Mum and Daddy said they are so so proud of me being so good at someone elses house. They feel like they can take me to most places now.

I must say that I am very very very tired now though. It has been such a lovely busy exciting week :-) One more day tomorrow. I think we are visiting another beach just for one last little swim. I REALLY don't want to go home :-(
