Behaving ourselves!

Wow, what a suprise I had today! We had a bit of a lie in this morning because we were all very tired but then at half past 9 mum and daddy said quick Lily, grab your stuff and jump in the car.

I had NO idea where we were going but I was keeping my paws crossed for another beach. Anyway, after what seemed like aggggeeeessss, we finally arrived and guess what. We were in Cornwall at my Aunty Eve's house - yippppeeee! Mum said that it was all a very last minute decision but that her and daddy really wanted to see them and the children.

I was soooooo excited. There are always LOADS of toys on the floor in their house. I ran straight in and picked one up in my mouth and was running round and round my little cousins. I LOVE my little cousins. They taste soooo good when I lick them but I remembered what mum taught me and I didn't jump up at all and knock them over :-)

After we had some lunch we packed everything in the car and headed to the BEACH! Yay! It was a beach called Caarhays and it was really lovely. I might even say that it was nicer than my beach in Teignmouth, that I am going to live at, but don't tell mum I said that!

The only thing was that it was freeeeezing. The sun had gone in and the grey clouds were there. We had to do a lot of running around to keep warm. I was ok with my big furry coat but my cousins were a bit cold. We had SO MUCH FUN. I was digging and digging, showing off my new skills. I dug a great big hole for them to play in. Then I showed how I can jump the big waves to run in and get my ball. Little G was screaming! She said I was mad because the sea was so cold. I didn't notice though. Then I lost my ball again because it sunk. I swam and swam to try and find it and mum had to come in over her knees to get me. She was jumping the waves and calling to me but I really wanted to find my ball. I did give up in the end when I noticed poor mum was getting a bit wet. Tee hee.

I was a really really good girl. I had to stay on the lead a little bit because there were some little boys playing football right beside us and it was soooooo tempting to join in but then as it was a bit cold people went home, so I came off the lead and had a good old play with my cousins. This is a picture of us alll sitting together and behaving ourselves (or were we planning mischief do you think?)

I am really happy because Little G loves me now. She was always a bit scared of me because I was very jumpy when I was little but this time we played and played. She came in my hole with me and then she threw my ball for me and I would bring it back to her and throw it in the hole ready for her to do it again. We even ran off to the corner of the beach on our own and I sat beside her whilst she made a sandcastle and stroked my head. I LOVE her so much. Little L is BRILLIANT too, he always tastes of something yummy and his ears are just at my height. Mum says I have to learn to stop licking him as its not nice all the time but I said he always giggles so it can't be that bad?

We are home now to Marmas house again. Its our last night here Booooo. Mum and I really don't want to go home, but hopefully it won't be much longer before we live here always. When I get home to Marmas, I know exactly which one is her house now, Mum gets me out of the boot of the car and I don't even have to go on the lead. I run straight into the garden, down the steps and sit wagging my tail at the front door. I am still a bit confused as to where Marma and Grandad are? Hopefully they will be here next time we come.

Well I am off for a sleep, all the swimming, digging and playing has made me quite tired but I am very very happy :-)
