Pretty pretties

18months 1 day

We got a message this morning inviting us to join Harrison and Aiden (and mum!) on a few errands with them and have a wander. We bought Katie some pretty little clips and bobbles, a few little bits and took Aiden for his first shoes being fitted. Bless the shop ladies, with the three children and swapping between who had who, they completely lost track of which child 'belonged' to who, and ended up with me sorting Aiden, and Katie and Harrison with Linda exploring!

She had a sleep and after she woke up we decided to go out and enjoy the beautiful sunshine. She took her big pink ball, chased that around, until she found some ducks (attempting to hide, unsuccessfully!) She followed them to the duck pond, then sat watching them and chatting to one. She was sat beautifully. However, she then turned around onto her tummy, ready to do a scoot into the pond and join them. Boring Mummy stopped her! She then spent nearly half an hour gathering bits of cherry blossom and throwing them like confetti. This is her under a bench, having exhausted all the easy options for getting some, determined she would find more.

After our walk, we went to play with the Cousins. We got there and they had got out all their balls, a blanket in the garden, all ready to play outside. Katie was thrilled and ran round and round. She can now say Cousin 2's name properly.

When we arrived home from seeing them, Granny and Grandad were waiting at our house and joined us for tea. So all in all, its been a really wonderful day.

PS For the first time in months, I have finally added an entry to 'my' journal and will be putting a few backblips on - not that I have many none-Katie photos, but there are a few!
