It just had to be this one!
We went to Helmsley for the morning, gorgeous weather, antiques and a craft fair on - heaven. Bought a lovely Victorian tourquoise ring and some handmade ceramic buttons from a craft stand. Now need a lottery win!
There was a wonderful Good Friday service held in the market place. Several churches had combined to put together a simple, interactive service which involved raising a large wooden cross. Lots of people, locals and visitors gathered to take part.
Then we came upon this group. I remembered seeing this little dog in York once, who could forget him. Apparently he lives in York and his name is Butch. His owner (and Butch) are quite used to cameras so didn't mind me at all. What the other dogs made of Butch in all his regalia I can only imagine. As for Butch, he is a trouper and after wagging his tail off and allowing his admirers a good look at him away he strutted.
