Mouse catcher!
Well, mouse scarer at least, hopefully!
This morning I spotted a mouse running across the kitchen floor. It's not hugely surprising, old building, centre of town etc, but not being surprised and not being bothered are two quite different things! Yes, yes I know, it's more scared of me than I am of it. No! I am definitely more scared of it, it wont give me a second thought once I'm out of sight, it wont wake up sweating and screaming out with nightmares of me! I have serious rodent-fear. I had to persuade Claire to let me have the Ginger Menace for a couple of days, I don't expect him to catch it or anything but hopefully just having the scent of a cat around the flat will divert it into someone elses flat! (and before anyone says that where there is one mouse there will be more had better just keep that comment to themselves because that is not the case here. OK?!) So far Brian has just slept quite a lot so not been remotely scary, however he is sticking close to me which makes me feel safe.
Hopefully I'll sleep alright tonight because tomorrow a friend ('ImpOfTheYard' to those of you who may remember her from earlier blipping days) and I have a stall of our handmade jewellery at 'Out of the Blue' and I'll need my wits about me. I'm tired enough as it is without adding mouse fear into the mix!
If anyone fancies checking out some arts and crafts the fair is at The Blue Drill Hall on Dalmeny St in Leith :)
