The Flatiron

We went down to Battery Park this morning for a wander and then took the Staten Island Ferry which was great. Fab views of the Lady Liberty and for free too! :o)

We had hot dogs on Pier 17 afterwards and then walked back up 5th Ave. Checked out the most cool Flatiron Building (todays blip) and did a wee bit of shopping on 34th St before taking Broadway back up to our hotel on 48th St.

After dinner we did the night time part of our bus tour which goes through Manhattan and then over the bridge into Brooklyn. The lights are just amazing to look at from across the water, so beautiful. We were really lucky because it had poured with rain earlier but by the time we went it was lovely again and we had a really clear night.
