If you go down in the woods
We had a wonderful morning wandering through woods north of the town looking at bluebells and wood anemones. Thought that I would find a striking picture of a carpet of bluebells.
We also spent time showing our son the different trees and trying to recognise them by leaf shape and branches. And as we did this, it was the shapes of the trees which began to fascinate me.
So I started snapping the trees rather than the bluebells. Hence this pic, which I find quite beguiling.
There is something anthropomorphic about the right hand tree, which looks like it's striding across the woodland floor. Brings to mind one of Tolkein's ents - maybe a young one.
