"There's a dead thing on the stairs." Said the visitor.

"It's a gecko." I responded. "It probably fell off the wall in the night, broke its neck, then the ants started nibbling away at it. It happens at least a few times a week."

"Ewww! That's gross." Exclaimed the visitor.

"Eh, just normal. It'll get swept up later today." I shrugged. "Welcome to my life."
