Back to the River

This stream/small river runs through the apartment complex. Every morning (and many afternoons) I see women on the low rocks washing their clothes. The rocks seem to be strategically placed for this purpose, however, I don't know if it was planned that way or not. Although the water in this stream isn't clear, it still seems suitable for washing.

In Thailand, this is common to see upcountry or in the villages, but all the water near my house is standing...very, very still (except for the occasional frog or fish that disturbs it.)
