Bridge

Day out in Stratford-on-Avon today, with Gary's sister and husband, Sue & Sam. It was really hot and sunny, absolutely beautiful day! Luckily I'd put my factor 40 on, doesn't take long for me to start burning.

We walked over to the river, but it was so hot we just ended up sitting outside at Cox's Yard having a few drinks. This was the view, looking over at the bridge. In the foreground is the bit of the river the boats aren't allowed on, to give the nesting birds on the island some peace and quiet to raise their young.

Decided it was just too hot to take the long walk by the river which we'd planned, so we got some provisions and went back home to sit on the patio and chill out. Had a lovely afternoon talking about holidays and laughing. And, ok, yes a few drinks were drunk!

Then about 5.30 pm, it clouded over and the rain tipped down, with some thunder too. But it doesn't matter, the jug of Pimms came back in and we had BBQ last night. But if the rain stops later, we'll be out there again!
