Today's the day ...................... to barbecue

Had to work today. Working on a Saturday always makes you feel a bit of a martyr as the rest of the world enjoys itself - but working on the Saturday of the Easter weekend - in good weather - well, that is a recipe for complete misery!

But all was not lost - because when I got home, the first thing I saw was a glass of wine on the worktop. The back door was open and I could smell it already .......... there was a barbecue on the go!

The menu was marinated salmon steak cooked over rosemary with mushrooms and a mixed salad - followed by cheese and fruit - and then a homemade gooseberry fool.

The cares of the day disappeared in a trice ..............
