Varying shades of grey

This morning L told me "Mummy, you are going white!" and when I responded in the affirmative she asked a little later "and when you're all white, will you still be my mother?" inferring, I suppose that because her grandmother (my mother) is completely white I might suddenly change into a grandmother, however, she quickly corrected herself by telling me that I would be her children's grandmother and I reassured her that despite a change in haircolour I would still be and remain her mother.

It wasn't easy to catch this in a blip but I wanted to write it down somewhere and so an illustration would not go amiss...
