Rowan

This lovely little carving of Rowan Williams, Archbishop of Canterbury, is on the noticeboard of St Dunstan's in Cranbrook. At the other end is St Dunstan himself but I'm not able to comment on whether it's a good likeness. This church is known as "The Cathedral of the Weald" because Cranbrook has always been a wealthy town; for many years it was the centre for cloth making, and the wealthy merchants funded the growth of the church. It dates back to the 12th century and the tower was completed in 1425. There is a fantastic sculpture of Father Time, complete with his scythe, above the clock on the tower.

Anyways - This is Easter weekend so I thought a bit of religion was appropriate.
