Saughton Park - Closing Time
I'd had a hard day, cutting down an 8 ft multi-stemmed fuchsia which hadn't survived the winter. So I thought I'd go to the local park with a book for a pleasant afternoon/early evening.
It's a nice park as you can see from the picture, and since I titled it 'Closing Time' the lack of people isn't surprising. What might be a surprise is the bright sunshine - that's because closing time was 4 pm!
I shouldn't be surprised, Edinburgh has never seemed to 'get' the concept of public green space.
