Leith, from Calton Hill

A very sunny day, today.
We were out surveying a transect across a part of Leith today, recording all the birds we saw. A pleasant wander, except for having to get up at 5 am. It was dry and still, though, and we saw a lovely male bullfinch, a species that we haven't seen in previous years' surveys.

Later, I took a blipwander up Calton hill, to practice landscape shots. Naturally the anarchist in me made me turn the camera on its side!

Then there was fighting the dreaded cupboard monster and a few work emails to catch up on; now packing my bag for a few days beyond the Highland Line.

Sorry that I've fallen so far behind on commenting and replying...and that's not going to get any better till we're back from the holiday. :(

This is probably better big!
