Wreckless Eric

All organisations have their faults, but I'm a fan of the BBC. This is Broadcasting House in Portland Place.
The figures are of Prospero & Ariel, from The Tempest, sculpted by Eric Gill in 1932. Legend has it that Ariel's penis was shortened after concerns were voiced that it was unnecessarily big. Also, I'm told that in wet weather rain would run off it's end in an amusing fashion! I hope these stories are true.
Gill, I think, could fairly be described as a bit of an odd cove, who indulged in bestiality & incest. As far as I'm aware his views on morris dancing are unrecorded.
