Griff

This is Griff. He stands majestically on a hillside just outside of our nearest village. When he first appeared, my husband and I thought he was some cool new rural sculpture (we have a few of them popping up here and there these days; some more attractive than others). So we took a walk up the hill to investigate, only to find out that he is, in fact, just a tree that was chopped down one day and then left there where he fell. But he looks like a griffin, so we named him Griff. Actually his full name is 'Griff Rhys-Tree' in homage to aWelsh comedian famous here in the UK.
