Lilac cottage?
We did stage 6 and most of stage 7 of the Bradford Millennium way today in superb weather - hot! The first section was good over the hills from Laycock above Keighley, and down to Eastburn with good views of the Aire Valley along the way,
As we started stage 7 we walked down a lane towards this cottage over whelmed by magnificent Lilac trees.
Sadly the rest of the walk was less good as we had to cross the valley bottom. This entailed crossing a main road; a busy railway line (no bridge); a very busy bypass dual carriage way (again no bridge) and finally the river itself - thankfully with a bridge.
Things improved a bit then and we finally crossed the canal and headed up to the higher ground above Silsden, but by then we had had enough so we cut it short by about a mile. We will do that bit next time!
Felt more like June than late April today - think I got a touch of the sun
