Tomb of Nebamun
Backblipped.
Day 1 of our holiday trip to Jordan:
We'd stayed overnight with H and in the morning she offered to show us her favourite room in the British Museum - the tomb of Nebamun. I am ashamed to say that, despite living in the London suburbs for more than 30 years and having attended University College London to do a degree in architecture, I have never actually been into the British Museum!
Nebamun was an accountant who lived in Thebes about 1400BC. The paintings are just beautiful, with details of everyday life, his family, servants / slaves and livestock.
Best in LARGE!

We resolved to visit H again soon to spend a less rushed visit and to see more of the museum. The Egyptian section is superb.

NB The travel company (Exodus) called it Day 1 but we hadn't even got there yet!
