Experience the Everyday

Royal Friday

It was such a shame to have missed the whole royal wedding as I was at school. We frantically went on the BBC website just to look at the dress at 12noon (GMT+1 here), then resumed the class.

Thanks to the BBC live coverage viewed on my mobile, I didn't feel left out completely. The tram on the way home was super slow and I missed the first balcony kiss by 2min. But then there wasn't live broadcast here for the balcony scene so I had to watch it online anyway.

Feeling so British today. As senseless as it is to have a monarchy in this day and age, we're all royalists at heart. What's not to like about seeing history being played in front of you? The uniforms, the carriages, the horse guards... magical!

Every Friday night so far I've gone out with this bunch of people (the connect group) for dinner. They're so patient with me when I speak in Italian and never fail to involve me in conversations. *heart*

We did after party too! First for drinks at the Kongins Club by the river with huge glass windows, which was beautiful. But the music was just techno, house stuff so we were off to Lapsus, a club in the centre, where they played more commercial tunes. It was fun... although I really really missed dancing with friends in London :(
