Dewi Sant

What to wear the daffodil or the leek? The leek certainly goes back many hundreds of years. No precise date is known but it is thought it may go back to the time of the Druids. The daffodil certainly looks and smells more attractive but is not the chosen symbol of Wales for the Welsh regiments nor sporting teams. The leek also was the choice for the reverse side of the pound coin representing Wales. Interestingly enough the Welsh name for a daffodil is Cenhinen Bedr... Peter's leek.
March certainly came in like a lion the wind has dropped a little from last night but it is still blustery. Lots of daffodils along the roadsides make it look more spring-like. Hope you are all enjoying your weekend.
